Pat is a locally well-known financial educator, having written in the Lexington Chronicle and being featured in the Columbia Business Monthly. For over 12 years, Pat has been teaching investors age 50+ how to preserve their assets, increase their income, and reduce income taxes.  Many area Retirees have used Pat’s advice to enjoy a financially independent retirement.

EDUCATION:

ChFC: Chartered Financial Consultant
· This is a designation awarded only to experienced Advisors who have completed a 10 course program of study, through the American College in Pennsylvania, focusing on Tax, Investment , Risk Management, Retirement, and Estate Planning.

CLU: Chartered Life Underwriter
· This is also a three year program with 10 courses focusing primarily on life insurance and income tax reduction.

RFC: Registered Financial Consultant
· This is awarded by the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants to those financial advisors who can meet the high standards of education, experience and integrity that are required of all its members.

B.S. Purdue University
· Pat graduated with honors with a degree in Accounting and a minor in Economics

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
· Approved member of by National Ethics Bureau since 2004
· Dean’s List each semester at Purdue University
· Krannert Business School Academic Scholarship
· Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma, a business academic fraternity
· Received Speaker’s Award by Beta Gamma Sigma in April, 1999

FAMILY/CHURCH
Pat is the proud parent of his son, Carter, and daughter, Ava. Carter has just “graduated” from elementary school, while Ava is entering the 5th grade this year. Their favorite activities with dad are going to the neighborhood pool, going to the beach, and vacations at DisneyWorld.
Pat is an active member at Hope Lutheran Church in Irmo, where he has also served as the Elder of Finances for the last 5 years.

Heather Ross-Boyd
Client Service Manager

Since joining us in 2008, Heather’s goal has been to ensure that we provide unparalleled service to our clients. Just a small sample of the work she handles includes welcoming clients at the office, setting appointments, getting Pat organized, managing projects, coordinating client events, and client service work such as address and beneficiary changes.

When asked what the best aspect of her job is she replies “The satisfaction gained from knowing that the office is running smoothly.  Knowing that Pat is able to concentrate on his clients’ financial needs without having to worry if the office is running efficiently.  Also, ensuring that the handling of our clients messages and financial information is always confidential and swift.”

To prepare for this position, Heather has worked in businesses ranging from Fortune 500 companies to family owned and run organizations.  Her experience in Human Resources, Tax, Accounting, Purchasing, Marketing, Engineering, Service and Sales bring to the table the full spectrum of knowledge required to fill the shoes of such a complex position.

She was born and raised in Connecticut and attended Norwalk Community College, Central Connecticut State University, and Sacred Heart University where she studied Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.

Family:
Heather moved to Columbia 4-1/2 years ago with her husband, Donald and their three dogs (“The Boys”).   She has a son & step-son (one grandson & a granddaughter due in July 2009) who live in Connecticut; a daughter, son-in-law and grandson who reside in Columbia, and a step-daughter who resides in North Carolina
